She currently lives with her family in New York City. Chando attended Manhattan College and became an actor prior to that. Chando played the character Maddie Coleman in the TV soap drama As The World Turns from 2005-2007 and for a couple of months from late 2009 onwards her character was reprised. Alexandra first made an acting appearance in 2002 on the TV show House Blend portraying the role of Jenna Harper. As the World Turns on CBS was her debut TV performance after three years. Chando starred in American documentaries True life and Sherri in 2009, and was also a part of the Maddie Coleman character in the show As the World Turns. Also, Chando appeared in the two episodes of Glory Dze in the role of Annabelle. Additionally, her other television show credits include Castle, Hindsight, Dead People and Outcast.
